Remote Control
Control your Mac's local workspaces from the Conductor iOS app
Remote control is experimental. Report bugs from Help -> Send Feedback
in Conductor.
Remote control lets you use the Conductor iOS app to work in the local workspaces on your Mac. You can browse and create workspaces, read chats, send messages, pick models, stop agents, and archive workspaces from your phone.
Set up
- On your Mac, turn on
Settings->Experimental->Remote control. - With a local organization selected, open
Settings->Remote controland clickAddunderDevices that can control this Mac. Conductor shows a QR code. - On your iPhone, open the Conductor app and sign in with the same account you use on your Mac.
- Open the account menu, then
Settings->Remote control->Pair a Macand scan the QR code. You can also scan it with the iPhone Camera app. - Confirm the Mac's name and tap
Pair.
Your Mac now appears in the iOS app's organization switcher, and the app opens its local workspaces.
Requirements
- Conductor must be open on your Mac, and your Mac must be awake and online.
- Both devices must be signed in to the same Conductor account.
- Remote control works with local workspaces only. On your Mac,
Settings->Remote controlappears when a local organization is selected. - Remote control is off while enterprise data privacy is on.
Known limitations
- In chats from before Conductor 0.91, your iPhone only shows messages sent after you updated.
Security
Traffic between your iPhone and your Mac is end-to-end encrypted. It passes through Conductor's relay, which can't read it. Each pairing code works once and expires after 10 minutes.
Remove a device
- On your Mac, open
Settings->Remote controland clickRevoke accessnext to the device. - On your iPhone, open
Settings->Remote control, tap the Mac, and tapForget.
Turning off Remote control on your Mac disconnects every paired device. They reconnect when you turn it back on.
