Get started

Create your first cloud workspace in Conductor

Use this guide to install Conductor, complete cloud setup, and create your first cloud workspace. It takes about five minutes.

Open Conductor

Set up cloud in Conductor

The button opens cloud setup in the app. If Conductor is already open, go to Settings → Cloud.

Complete cloud setup

The Settings → Cloud page shows three setup steps:

Conductor settings open to the Cloud tab, showing the Cloud setup section
  1. Conductor Pro: Manage your Pro subscription
  2. Agents: Configure your agent providers. Like local Conductor, we use your existing subscription.
  3. GitHub: Give Conductor access to manage your repositories in the Cloud.

Create your first cloud workspace

Video summary: Creating a cloud workspace

The video shows the new workspace composer. The Cloud toggle in the top right is turned on, so Conductor creates a cloud workspace.

Conductor provisions a cloud machine, clones your repository, runs your setup script, and starts the agent. While the workspace is setting up, its status appears in a Cloud workspace badge in the top bar.

From here, chat with the agent, review diffs, and open pull requests the same way you would in a local workspace.

Try stepping away

To see the main difference, give the agent work that benefits from uninterrupted time. Start a longer coding task, then close your laptop.

The agent keeps working on the cloud machine. When you come back, open the workspace and continue from the latest message.
